How's everyone feel about the deadline pickups now that we have seen them for a good stretch..?

O'reilly: love what he brings has made an immediate impact gonna be interesting how keefe uses him in the playoffs.

Accari: low key best pick up he plays hard every shift and has changed the look of that bottom 6 the goals are a plus I think he's gonna play a factor come playoff time

McCabe: he's been the best d pickup which we all expected but I'm surprised how well he skates with the puck

Lafferty: to me he's been the biggest disappointment he really hasn't added much other than being able to play up the middle and he hits hope he can find a good role but if there's one player I'm taking off this roster for knies it's Lafferty.

Schenn: comes as advertised finishes every hit good defensively and what I've noticed is there's no panic in his game he always seems to make the right play to get the puck out only knock is with his hits he puts himself out of position from time to time.

Gustafson: was expecting a bit more offence but I don't see him getting a chance here unless there's injury problems.

Lafferty has done little to endear himself to leaf fans since arriving.
Hoping for more in the playoffs.

I like what Schenn brings.
Over the years he has learned his limitations and how to play within them.

Acciari was a great addition.
I have been advocating for him since he played for Boston.

O’Reilly?
He was on my “don’t touch list” before the deadline and outside of one (1) game has done nothing to change my opinion.
O’Reilly was a -23 when he arrived from St Louis and has been a minus player in 7 of the 8 games he has played for the Leafs.
I would have much preferred that Dubas kept that 1st round pick for a trade to fill the 2nd line, LW slot and sent a 3rd round pick to Arizona for Bjugstad to be Leafs 3rd line center.

Great topic for a slow time.

ROR: Brought more than I expected with his injury's this season and age. Great pickup. Here's hoping he has the same level of compete for the playoffs and no lingering injuries.

Acciari: Easily my favourite add. I would have been fine paying more with him included, than Dubas did. Credit where it's due, I've always liked his game as a grinder and he hasn't disappointed.

McCabe: His analytics are horrendous, but the eye test passes. I think he has brutal at times, great at times and just ok at times. As of late he looks to be fitting into the system better and like what in seeing a lot.

I tend to give D more time to adjust than forwards as it's a more difficult position to play at times when it comes to defensive systems. He's a solid add.

Lafferty: I expected more, but I also had to reign myself in on him. He was being hyped in the media and by fellow fans to a degree he could never live up to. I knew this and got caught up in the hype nonetheless.

He's been, ok. I don't think he fits this system at all and don't expect that to change.

Schenn: Exactly what I expected. He hits, he's slow, he doesn't make many mistakes and he plays bottom pair. I'm happy to have him for the price.

That other guy nobody wants: I didn't want him to start with, I don't want him now, j didn't understand why he was include din the trade. Maybe Tyson Barrie wasn't available so we needed the Euro version, but if rather have Topi slot in straight from Europe. At least he's younger.

@WB I'm not sure how to judge ROR on his performance in St. Louis this year. That team was a train wreck all year long with and without him.

He may have been a minus 8, but small sample sizes are hard to judge. Especially with +- as the predominant stat.

ROR does a lot for the leafs imo he gives them a lot more options upfront I think one of my favourite things is how quickly he came in and started being a leader on the team seeing how he sets things up on the ice.

@LL you make a good point on Lafferty he was hyped up to be something he’s not my problem is we already have enough guys in the bottom six that don’t really produce alot like kerfoot kampf zar etc my hope is the leafs have someone in the bottom six that steps up and has a monster playoffs kinda like nichuskin did for the Avs last year.

I like all the additions.

Lafferty is the most "disappointing" to many I guess, but that is because as LL said, he was so hyped and I can't even remember how many times I saw his name on here in proposals. He is on pace with the Leafs for his typical point production. Personally, I didn't get all the hype, but I understand acquiring him. He is a consistent 20 point guy that can play centre, has speed, physical enough and possibly play up your lineup and benefit points wise like Kerfoot does. I see him as Kerfoot's replacement at only $1.15M. I think that was Leaf managements thoughts.

The rest. What I expected.

O'Reilly brings leadership and some grit while being able to contribute at both ends of the rink.

Schenn a physical presence on the backend 3rd pair. He could be a cheap replacement for Holl next season. He may have to play farther up the lineup because of Lily's regression.

Acciari is what I have been saying he is for the years that I have been mentioning him. Hard nosed, physical guy with some offensive upside. If you look at the year he scored 20, he was used in a more offensive role and play almost 17 mins a night and he was not as physical that year. He adapts his game well and is hard to play against while being excellent defensively.

McCabe is a solid 2nd pair guy that is usually pretty solid, but plays a little loose with the puck at times and you will notice a little loss of concentration here and there where he loses his guy in coverage. Still a very good addition at that cap hit and Sandin's replacement.

Gustafsson. Good skater. Not great under pressure, which is why he has been primarily used as an offensive guy and sheltered defensive minutes. If people just looked at his point totals, they may have been thinking he will add some offence. He needs top minutes for that and he isn't likely to get that in Toronto. Even in Chicago and Washington, they sheltered him defensively. He's is solid enough depth.

I think Lafferty is less than Engval. That’s sums it up. Leafs have to get a 3rd line

BUNTING OREILLY KNIES

The third line they need someone on the right side.

@DM the only one less than Engvall is Kerfoot.

How can tell or make an assessment of anyone when everyone is playing with new players every night, that's if they're playing at all.
Accari and O'rielly injured doesnt help.

This team has to be the only team headed to the play offs with not one line or defence pairing rubbish even a starting goalie that is confirmed . What a mess.

Keefe is a mess. He sits the defence who should be playing regularly and plays the defene who should be released.
