To TOR: D - N. Dobson + F - O. Wahlstrom + F - M. Martin + 2024 2nd

To NYI: F - W. Nylander + D - T. Liljegren

The Leafs and Isles swap D for F, Leafs get the good, up and coming Dobson, Isles get scoring they need. Swap younger prospects as well. Leafs giving up more get a 2nd and Martin as well

@Tbuds. I think Nylander with Lily for Dobson makes a lot of sense for both teams as I have said before. Unless an extension of Willy is in place, I can't see NYI giving up even close to what you suggest and then consider both teams need cap relief.

I think it would be something more like Nylander and Liljegren for Dobson and Dufour with a 3rd team involved taking Pageau on where NYI gets a pick back.

I like most of the trade but with Treliving having signed Reaves I think Matt Martin and the 2nd are unnecessary.

To Islanders : Nylander, Liljegren

To Leafs, Dobson, Wahlstrom.

Islanders get the far superior wing in Nylander while Leafs get the superior defenseman in Dobson.

Fair, Martin and the pick could be unnecessary, but this would also be premised on Nylander inking an extension.
NYI do not do this trade otherwise.

@Leafs67. That is very much along the lines of what I am thinking. Maybe as a 3 way trade the Leafs 3rd goes to Anaheim and their 2nd goes to NYI.
