Oh man that's a scary one! Dumba specifically could out the leafs in a league of their own in some ways. He would make the defense 100 times better over night. Only issue is, does he recover from off season surgery well? Does he stay healthy? Man I don't know but I would take the chance if offered this trade.

I think Leafs need to add something. Maybe a lesser prospect like Marchment and a 3rd or 4th all in all but another original post.

Id personally love to have Dumba in a leafs uniform even if its here and there because of injury. every time he plays leafs improve. i'd take 30 games of trouba over what i'm watching right now. its early and andersen every october throws up a bad game but the team looks a bit off as well. this is a shakeup i'd do every time.

dont know what needs to be added but i'd try hard to make it happen.

Dumba is doing really well actually. One goal and one assist for two points in three games. So it looks like he’s fully recovered, so far. Of course, the risk of re-injury is worrisome, but having said that, now may just be the best time to take a chance on him just because his value in trade is low.

Any time you have the opportunity to add a player of Dumba’s caliber without affecting the core of the team, you jump on it. Given Dumba also has a decent long term contract in place, this trade would solidify the Leafs defense, giving us possibly the second or third best top 4 in the league after San Jose and Nashville.

Good job by the contributor formerly known as HoundDog. What inspired the change of name anyway? Just out of curiosity.

Speaking of bad starts. its crazy how the best D in the league went 0-4 to start. they add marleau and boom now they will crank out 10 in a row. funny how things work out

like tampa. they looked so bad first 3 games in, then stamkos pulls the whole calling out of the team they get point back and first game after the call out look like theirselves again. sucks the leafs had to be that first team after the callout tampa got but hey its hockey. peaks and valleys. its a long season . but Dumba would really solidify this D corp when he isn't injured.

@leafsGM I got punted off lol so I’m taking my licks and had to give up my moniker in order to post. This time around I think I’m sticking to the trades and try to avoid the rest of the hoopla that I got kicked off for in the first place that said yes that’s me hound dog live and well!

@LHD Wolves (or in this case, Hounds) need not concern themselves with the opinion of Sheep. AaWooOooOoo! Also I love Dumba as a target, he and Reilly would make a dynamite top pair. If Minnesota keeps with their tradition of being barely above mediocre, maybe they're willing to sell at the deadline for Ceci+prospects/ picks.
