Lots of proposed Marner trades.

Anaheim has offloaded $11M in cap with the departures of Henrique ($5.85) and Silverberg ($5.25).
Ducks have $33M in cap space.

To Anaheim: Marner ($10.9)

To Leafs: Cutter Gauthier ($950,000) and John Gibson ($6.4)

Gauthier is one of the top rated prospects not currently in the NHL.
He could play wing for Leafs during the final year of Tavares's contract and then move into the 2nd line, center slot the following year.

Gibson, though no longer one of the league's premiere goaltenders is still an upgrade over Samsonov and with Woll being injury prone Leafs require a second, starter caliber, NHL goaltender.

Ducks have Leo Carlsson, Trevor Zegras and Mason McTavish and Cutter Gauthier as centers and could afford to trade one.

Yes, Anaheim may be a destination for Marner like many of us thought Nylander would be in the past. That said, Gauthier just lit up the world juniors and NCAA as a 19-20 year old and Anaheim just won the sweepstakes to get him when he wouldn't play for Philly. Is already considered to be able to fit into a top 6 role with more offence than Knies. Can't imagine getting both Gauthier and Gibson for Marner as Gauthier isn't likely to get moved and I don't think Anaheim believes Dostal is a #1. Something around Colangelo might work.
