Things get interesting
Tor: Hamilton (50%)
NJ: 2x 2nd Rd pick (tor, ana), benning
Ana: Robertson, Kampf, arti (50% Hamilton cap hit)
This is a move for everyone.
Toronto gives up the most but gets the final RHD, while Anaheim locks in important peices for they opening window, as NJ gets cap compliant.
OEL Hamilton
Rielly Carlo
McCabe tamev
Benoit.

Toronto gives the most? Two picks and a bunch of nothing: NJ says no thanks.

Leafs give up an NHL ready prospect, a solid goalie prospect, and a defensively minded center that Anaheim can actually benefit from for a 2nd and 4.5m retention for 2 seasons.
Then offers 2 2nds and a NHL level RH defensemen for a 32yr old with injury problems on a cash strapped team.
I think NJ could definitely consider it with 7 days to get cap compliant since they are around 4m over the cap. Overall I think this addressed 3 teams priorities.

OEL on the top pairing and both Tanev and McCabe on the 3rd pairing?
Seriously?
McCabe - Hamilton
Reilly - Tanev
OEL - Carlo
Benoit
Otherwise, if all parties agree I believe it is a good move for the Leafs.
Due to his injury history, I would prefer Erik Karlsson as Hamilton misses huge amounts of time, seemingly every season.
Who is Arti?

As for who is the top line d pairing. Does it matter with each one being able to play equal minutes in a game depending on needs. OEL is a good partner for for Dougie while the other 2 pairings are already working well for the most part.
