Anaheim needs secondary scoring help and Toronto after acquiring 3 second round picks and some higher round picks this week will be looking for a first rounder as they only have there's for sure as Pittsburghs is not a guarantee.
I think bozak/ lupul are the last 2 guys the leafs wanna move from the old core but will have a tough time with lupuls deal. I think both bozak and parenteau are each worth a 2nd but if u can package them up you can get a first and I think Anaheim would be one of the few teams to do that. and I can't see the leafs trying to acquire just second round picks?
Helps both sides and these teams love trading with each other for some reason. They do a trade every year! Haha what do you think guys?

Jvr is injured so u got to take a bit of a hit on that and Anaheim not going to trade there first rounder this year. Helps Anaheim now helps Toronto's future win/ win for both clubs.

Ritchie is a younger version of jvr and would be a great deal for jvr. What are you expecting to get for him? That's 10th overall in 2014. Nylander was 8th. polak is probably not worth a 2nd so the two combined makes sense. People over value our players. Look what we got for kessel.
Anaheim not going to trade there first rounder because they might not even make the playoffs and that pick would then would be a lottery team. Although I think they will make the playoffs

Ritchie is not a younger version of JVR. He is unproven in the NHL, you can't say that he is JVR. He has some potential to be the same type of player, but will never be as good as JVR. Also, if you really think draft placement matters in a trade proposal JVR went #2.

LA gets goal scoring help they need and rid of a nagging contract and won't look back making the playoffs next year and the leafs get draft selections roughly every 10 picks in the first round at 4,13,24 this year for there rebuild and get there 2 first rounders back for kessel. Only downside for toronto will be that kings 2016 will be a 20something overall pick so u got to knock 13 overall this year outta the park

I think it's pretty fair value and helps both teams gives Edmonton defense and goaltending and adds kessel to that group of kids to help compete next year (they can't rebuild forever) and this will do the trick. For toronto it gives the generational talent they need to build around and have some good complimentary pieces already in Reilly jvr nylander & babcock behind the bench etc. toronto then trades either phanuef/lupul/bozak to re coop a first rounder in 2016. What do u think?

Retain 2.5 on phaneuf! After keeping kessels 1.25 last year. Why don't we just retain all of it and completely screw ourselves for the years to come!
