So r u having leafs pick up some of Ritchie’s cap
If so that means the same 1.125 cap retain has to be used next year as well

If that is your deal then a rental Dman and goalie for 3 non rental players with 1 having a retain attached to it probably doesn’t need draft picks attached to the deal

Philly at this point might just do the deal and on leafs end it might be a pretty good deal to save leafs 6.925 in cap for next season and able to replacing the 3 roster spots next year with cheap contracts or ELC contracts for less than 3 million
Opens up close to 4 million plus Campbell’s 1.65 million to resign Campbell and keep leafs very competitive in short term with ristolainen

Sorry guys, I can't see why Philly would Do that trade. They could get a cheaper and as good of a backup to Hart for less than Mrazek's cap hit. Plus, they could get more for Risto and Jones at the deadline and not have to take on guys with term. Bad deal for Philly. Imo.

RLF what could you add in order to make it work?

JdB 1394 was just trying to be a little more tougher on the backend with the other deals and threw down some draft picks to help make it work out with the initial philly offer and a lil retainment on our part.

I do wonder though if E Kane would sign for a mil plus the bonuses (insentives)? I actually like these trades as it addresses some cap relief for next year while helping toughen up and shoring up our D for a longer playoff run. imo.

@Thatguy. I just don't see the basis of a deal that suits Philly. I don't see them having a need for Ritchie and Mrazek. Maybe they take Ritchie at 50% to get the 3rd and 5th, but they won't want Mrazek imo, and Holl doesn't get the Leafs Jones and Risto. I like the thought, I just don't see how to make it work with those players all involved.

NO to Kane…. Have you not watched the NHL I’m the last several years. Kane is a criminal and a head case. He hasn’t changed and he won’t change. Wouldn’t want him if he came for free.
