What I think a realistic trade for Klingberg would be now that he has 0 value and is hurting the Leafs every time he steps on the ice.

To Tor: Tanev (50%retained) Zadorov, Dube

To Cgy: Klingberg, Lily, Niemela, Jarnkrok, Minten, 1st rd2024, 3rd 2024

We have to pay for quality D and depth in Dube, we have to pay for retaining on Tanev and we have to pay for them taking on Klingberg salary cap dump. For those 3 Cgy players it would probably normally cost Lily, Niemela and a 1st. Would have to add Minten, Jarnkrok and a 3rd to take Klingberg for us and retain in Tanev. IMO of course. #Tagsthoughts section?

Lol Bob. I like Bertuzzi and I think he is just finding his game. I think he will be a big asset come playoffs and so will Domi if he continues to play well at C. I’d like to see what Martin Jones does in a Leafs jersey.

Liljegren trading Liljegren would be a huge mistake and a big no for me.

Leafs would need to add Domi ($3) to make the cap hits close.

WB Lily is the deal breaker for you? Is he putting up PP points? Is he helping offensively 5 on 5? Is he a stud in his own end? Is he 6’4 220lbs?, does he fight to protect teammates? So please tell me why Lily is a hold up when you’re getting two proven, solid defensive, physical tough D. This deal could be the difference from a first round playoff exit again and a long run into playoffs and you want to hold off incase Lily becomes something?
