Pesce is reportedly looking for $6.5 - $7M with term
I think I would pass on Pesce in favor of offering Matt Roy $5M x 4 years to play as Reilly’s partner.
Similarly Montour is reportedly looking for $6+ with term.
I would prefer to see Sean Walker as Leafs 2nd pairing RHD at $5M x 4 years
Dumba is a disaster defensively and doesn’t fit Leafs needs.

I’m unsure about resigning Gregor.
He started the year off well but after 30 games or so seemed to disappear and was passed on the depth chart by McMann and Holmberg then at the trade deadline by Dewar.

I would love to see the Leafs sign one of Monahan or Henrique to be Leafs 3rd line center (depending on dollars and term) .

Though Bertuzzi came on strong over the second half of the season I would prefer to see that$5.5M spent on the defense.

My target of Montour and pesce is based on their defensive pk power, with Montour having added offensive style.

Pesce has an amazing take away vs give away, meaning he's goodbat passing and getting the pucks to our forwards. He kills penalties (2m/ g), and plays around 20m/ game. His points totals say no more than 6m

Montour is used sparingly as penalty killer currently at 30s/ game, with much higher offensive skill. He hits hard and blocks shots. He had only 1 season over 37 points.

Should target 1 or the other this off season.

I think both Roy and Walker will receive $5 - $5.5 on their next contracts.
I see term being a bigger problem.
Neither one is a true, top pairing defenseman.

@WB I meant to say, with that term. I believe they both take 5m as well, but want 7 years.
