Tuch

I think this is the best fit for that right side. Guy drives, he isn’t a dancer. Uses his speed and size. If we want to play a certain style then get guys to fit that mold. Not Maccelli. Tuch has also fought some big heavyweights because he sticks up for his teammates (was just watching a few on YouTube) . I also think he is the type of guy to resign at a decent cap hit because he wants to win. Thoughts?

Tuch wants 11 million plus on his next deal. Not worth anywhere near that. Good player and likely worth 8.5 ish …. not paying him 11.

I’m can’t believe all the rumours. Plus he probably wants that to stay in Buffalo as he knows they won’t pay that and have to trade him. I’d say he asks for closer to 8 on a team like the Leafs. If he gets term I wouldn’t pay him more than Knies.

Not nearly enough for Tuch.
Any trade for Tuch starts with Cowan.

Trading Carlo would leave the Leafs with only one RHD, 35 year old Tanev.
Not a good idea.

The only thing appealing to Buffalo is the 1st rd pick
But seeing the Leafs don’t have one I don’t think it matters.
