I like the trade except for Wright.
Not sold on the kid at all.
I don’t think he will ever be more than a middle 6 player at best.
With the 8th pick I would prefer to see Leafs draft Camden Lidstrom if he is available.
Lidstrom could replace Tavares in a couple of years.
Otherwise one of the RHD.
Dickinson looks like he will be a keeper but he is a LHD which seem to be much easier to acquire than RHD.
Top 4 RHD only seem to be available in the draft, not through trade or free agency.

Really like Adam Fantilli and Cayden Lindstrom.
Leafs future #1 & #2 centers.
Werenski can push Morgan Reilly back to the second pairing #3 as well as quarterback the PP with Reilly on the #2 PP unit.
I would do this with Matthews at his peak.
But likely Matthews balks at playing in Columbus.

Dallas is in win mode and my guess is that if they pick up a forward, it's a vet. I don't think they would have an interest in swapping young players right now.

Dallas, like Vegas plays a fairly heavy game.
Would the little Robertson be their kind of player?
Nick Robertson has begun to show that he can produce in the NHL so they might have some interest in acquiring depth scoring?

Bertuzzi represents cap space for the following season. Cap space is just as valuable as trading for a player. People seen to forget this on this website.

Who is the Maple Leafs #2 Center? Surely it is not John Tavares. Tavares plays like a winger now in his career. My targets would be Jack McBain and Lawson Crouse from the Coyotes instead of Matt Dumba and Maverick Lamoureux. Jack McBain would be an awesome pickup for the Leafs 2nd line to play with McMann and Nylander. Tavares has a difficult time keeping up with the pace of play.
