Cat is an RFA. That's why it was more reasonable. The difference between RFA and UFA is huge. Sens can now trade Cat to recoup assets or sign him longterm.

I'd say this isn't terribly far off if Briere gives up on the rebuild (who knows with the Flyers) but probably add something in. Maybe throw In Boston first.

I didn’t realize that good catch but I still think briere would want to make a splash and nylander seems like his type of player not to mention another prospect isn’t what they need they already have a few good prospects followed up with some good young players it makes sense either way for both parties.

I'd love to somehow steal Koneckny and Tippett from them in a deal involing Willy or Mitch. dunno if they'd go for that.

@LL. how can ya not. i'd rather have him at his cap hit than what Willy does and plays with more heart. if we can swap and get him and his work ethic and tenacity and then add Tippett how can ya not go for it.

@Loxley I'd give up almost anyone on the roster for Konecny. The snarl he brings is sorely lacking in these playoffs from top 6 players.

@LL I agree in the snarl. don't think he is overly big but he competes. thro fleury was small but worked his ass off in the playoffs unlike little Mitchy and the rest of those "special players" they allrefer to themselves as. I just wanted 1 of them to stepupafter the loss and say we did not score like we're are expected too. nope. more excuses.

keith Jones as the new prez and Briere now has Interim tag removed I think they would wan to make a big splash, Now if this would involve the leafs at all who knows. Other than Konecny I'm not sure there's much on the flyers the leafs dont already have in the way of over paid players.
