Toronto needs a change. Here’s one idea:
McMann + Järnkrok and Domi would go to Utah along with Travis Boyd, and in return the Maple Leafs would receive Lawson Crouse and Kevin Stenlund.

Wishful thinking.

Why McMann? One of our only players playing with heart so we should just trade him? Love to hear your train of thought behind moving McMann who makes 1.35M. Don’t get it.

I like Lawson Crouse.
He can play LW on the 2nd line and add some physicality to the Leafs top 6 where all physicality comes from the bottom 6.
If that takes McMann, số be it.
If McMann was 20 - 25 I would not consider trading him.
But he will be 30 in June and thus becomes expendable imo.

He is one of the few that might have some trade value! got to give something to get something.

Ok so McMann is the same age as these two and better than both of them. Neither one of these guys has breakout speed like McMann does plus he seems to be one of the few buying into the system. Not to mention his shot, compete level, board battles, defensive side of the puck. He has these two beat in every category and makes almost 1/ 4 of what Crouse does. Still don’t make any sense to me. What else you got?

Lawson Crouse will be 29 in June. So, McMann is one year older. So what?
I like Crouse, but it's not like he brings more than McMann. 12 goals last year and on pace for 16 this year is Crouse at $4.3M for another year. McMann is on pace for 20 again this year and makes $1.35M. If the Leafs re-sign McMann, it is unlikely it is for anything much more than Crouse already makes. As Clarky noted, McMann has speed and size, which is difficult to find, especially on the cheap.

Sorry RLF.
Completely disagree with you on this.
Crouse had a down year last year but he was also a 20 goal scorer the two previous years.
McMann is terribly inconsistent and streaky.
He went the last 24 games plus the playoffs without scoring a single goal.
McMann is a great skater but offers little in the way of physicality.
All Leafs physicality is in the bottom 6 and 3rd defensive pairing.
Crouse would bring a level of physicality to the top 6 that they simply don’t have.
There is also the factor that Maccelli is next to worthless on the Leafs số targeting Crouse over Maccelli this past summer would have been a MUCH wiser move by the not very bright, Treliving.

All good to disagree.
How does McMann offer little in physicality though? 2nd on the team amongst forwards in hits. Stood up for Laughton against Zadorov. Goes to the net and battles. Battles along the boards. If you mean as a fighter, yes Crouse is better. Crouse also costs over 3X as much.
Crouse is a 3rd liner in Utah. Was last year as well. Others have passed him by on the depth chart.
Lets look at it from a stat you like to quote as to why to not trade for a guy. Crouse is a career -52. Bobby McMann a career +22. Doesn't that just kind of end the discussion right there? :)
