To Nashville
Robertson $.825M RFA
Jarnkrok $2.1M UFA
To Toronto
McCarron $.9M
2026 2nd (via Minny)
Nashville get a young, potential 20/ 25 goal scorer in Robertson. IMO best to trade him while value is still at a high point, before he continues to regress.
Jarnkrok a good defensive/ PK guy who is only owed $.775M in actual money for the year.
Leafs get a big RH 4C, who plays physical and also hits & fights to defend team mates.
I'm hoping to squeeze a lower 2nd from Nashville, but if that's too much, I could live with a 3rd.

Don’t need more bottom 6 players.

Much rather have Robertson than McCarron.

It's not just for a bottom 6 player. It's getting a RH 4C who plays physical and can PK as well, while giving up a bottom 6 winger. Plus, I'm trying to get a 2nd round pick and capitalize on Robertson's play before he regresses.

Plus opens up another $2M in cap space giving more room when TDL rolls around.

If Nash would do it, sure. A different style of bottom 6 player, some draft capital and cap space. Sounds good to me. McCarron is good on the dot, PK's and plays a physical game while never being shy to drop the mitts.
After a hot start, Robertson has 1 point in his last 6 games and a -4. Playing in the top 6 as well. Him and McMann are both slumping on the scoresheet lately.
