The proposals get more and more far fetched as Leafs flounder at or near the bottom of the Eastern Conference.
Số here is one to sink your teeth into.

To St Louis: Matthews ($13.25), Carlo ($3.485) = $16.735

To Leafs: Robert Thomas ($8.125), Jordan Kyrou ($8.125) = $16.25

Might have to fire Berube after making this deal ??

Not really on board for this one. Neither of these Blues players play a very physical game, so yes, you probably have to fire Berube. Both are having down seasons. Nor do either produce much in the playoffs for the most part. Kyrou is a bit of a headcase imo. Typically he has been a liability defensively. Not a guy I would really target. For the most part I like Thomas, but it seems like a so-so return for Matthews alone, never-mind throwing in Carlo where Toronto's defence gets weaker and getting no cap relief at all.

Thomas for Matthews straight up is ridiculous. If u r giving up a d one needs to come back has to b a RD. Kyrou is overrated.

No one said Matthews for Thomas straight up. The point was although Thomas is a good player, even adding Kyrou seems like a so-so return for Matthews especially when adding Carlo and no cap savings.
