If Calgary would do that, Leafs should do it. We would have to clear cap space after we get guys coming back from LTIR though. So that would mean dumping Ceci. That might cost extra. Just consider that as part of the expense involved in this trade. So it would actually be Marchment + Ceci + extra to dump Ceci = Brodie. Is it still worth it for Brodie? I think so. Others might not. Especially if that extra costs as much as a 2nd.

I wouldn't want to lose Nylander. I know doughty is the best player but losing both Kappy and Nylander really handicaps the forwards.

This would decimate our RW. I would love to see Doughty on the team. I wonder if he would waive his no trade clause if LA asked him? Though I really doubt they would retain for salary for 7 years or whatever it is that’s left on his contract. Only Leafs are that foolish. Kessel is still costing us.
