kadri, the 30 and 31 may interest CLB as they don't have many picks. I think they'd have to give it some thought. They may want to send Hartnell back to move his salary, which would suck for Leafs big time. The other players Leafs would be sending in this proposal have little to no trade value. So. don't see this working out for either side.

Stamkos staying in Tampa or going to cup contender no Canadian team is an option for him all the Canadian teams rebuilding or van no one nod what there doing.

he has said he loves in there and wants to finish what he started. so no shit Sherlock, if they pay him what he's worth he'll stay. If not he won't . his preference is to stay but he realizes it's a business. if Tampa can pay him he stays. Players who want to leave generally say "we'll see what happens", or "I'll let my agent take care of that". what makes you think Stamkos'first choice would be the Leafs. you have no idea what he's thinking. he wants to be paid what's fair, but he also wants to win.

Yzerman has hinted that all he can afford for Stamkos is 8.5 million per year according to Darren Dreger, who knows more than all the wanna be GMs in here. That won't get it done for Stamkos, which makes him available. He already knows what the Leafs have to offer to a large extent. he'll get Toews type money. 10 million per year from someone. Stamkos knows what he's "worth" and he'll get it. I'm sure he has thought it out. "if I can't stay in Tampa I wanna go here, if not then here". and so on. Don't be so sure that the Leafs are his first choice after Tampa.

Winnipeg wants to have The so called Finnish Twins. giving up Trouba and 22nd overall and taking on Hartnells contract may get it done
Columbus doesn't care for 3rd overall because they in fact want Dupois. So being able to get him plus add an extra pick in 1st round and taking on a project for Murray and 3rd overall and shedding a contract to help sign Jones actually makes sense
Edmonton rebuilds D quick with this deal and gets rid of Yak all for a 4th really helps them

Edmonton doesn't put enough into the deal to come out with two D's for Yakapuff and a 4th OA.
Hartnell is a cap dump to Winnipeg who just gave up their top young defenceman and the 22 OA. It requires a usable vet or prospect to Winnipeg from Edm, not a cap dump from another team.
3 way deals are hard to balance.
