@LL/ Goat. Agree with both of you to an extent, but I still don't like how Dubas builds a team and I am wondering about the coaching/ system as well.
It is hard not to notice how many ex-Leafs that were under Dubas and/ or Keefe have moved on and are doing much better since leaving the Leafs. Ceci has been pretty solid for Edmonton and Barrie has been better there. Ritchie is scoring at a 35+ goal pace with Arz. Travis Boyd is now a 35+ point guy. Kadri, well, we have seen what he has done. Mason Marchment was basically discarded. Amadio has full time work in Vegas. Barabanov has been good for SJ putting up 30 pts last season.
Sure, there are others who leafs let go that have done nothing, but no one I can think of that was really good/ good in Toronto and floundered elsewhere, but many that were discarded here that went on to be really good/ good elsewhere. Makes me wonder what the issue was in Toronto. Even if it was just not given the proper opportunity here, that would still be a lack on Toronto's coaching/ system/ management. imo.

I was thinking if leafs lost 2 of 3 on this California swing that Keefe would be canned and trots would take his place.

@RLF all of those players (except Barrie, he's still a pylon) are doing better because the room isn't toxic.

Everytime Marner opens his mouth I get more of a feeling that the room isn't in a good state.

@LL. If the room is toxic, Who assembled this group and refuses to make moves to change the core group?
Isn't it part of the coaches job to bring the group together to be and play as a team?
If there is toxisity in the room, then the culprits need to be moved or made to understand it isn't acceptable. Again, that is coaching and management issue.
