Or trade McMann for a pick and go with Joshua Roy and (sign) roslovic, or even a healthy jarnkrok. Trading a bottom 6 for another bottom 6 is not what the Leafs need with their 9 bottom 6 players.

Agreed. Any trading of a Bottom 6 guy should be for a pick to clear a roster space. Whether that space is for Cowan, a UFA like Roslovic or even a PTO we need space.

Why is everyone so down on McMann? He's a big body that skates well, defensively responsible, not afraid to drive the net and potted 20 last season. All for $1.35m. He had a 136 hits last year. I think Berube is fine with that. Can he even be more aggressive? Sure. But the insinuation on here so often that he is a soft player has gotten silly.

Thank you RLF. I’m sick of defending this guy. If we signed a big body, very responsible winger that put up 20G’s while making 1.35M, you’d be saying Tre is a genius.

Clarky. I have been on the McMann train long before he ever made the team, so me defending him shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. He drives defenders back with his speed, he battles in the corners. Battles in front of the net. For those that talk about him not producing in the playoffs. He didn't. It was also his first NHL playoff experience. It's not like he was playing in the top 6 and not producing. I also like Laughton and he didn't produce either.
