If Dubas wanted to get three players from Toronto (Robertson, Kämpf, and Järnkrok) and sent back a 2nd and a 6th round pick for next summer, with no players going the other way, that could work.

Let’s be real, those three probably don’t even fit into Toronto’s roster anymore. Cowan should absolutely get a spot with the big club.

Also, McMann deserves a shot on the second line. If his game doesn’t take a step forward, then trade him, but give him the opportunity now.

As for Roslovic, he’s not a Berube-type player at all, too soft. So no thanks on him coming to Toronto.

Why does Cowan just deserve a spot in the lineup? Ask Robertson how dominating junior worked for him turning pro?

Shana…. Cowan doesn’t “deserve” a spot. He will need to earn it. However Robertson NEVER dominated in junior. He had one very good season. Cowan is a much better player than Robertson.

Didn’t Marner rip up junior and become a pretty good regular.
