Reilly is having his best year in a while why would we trade him. Also why in gods green earth would Chicago do that trade.

Korchinski was a top 10, 1st round pick drafted 7th overall.
Defense is a roll that takes a lot longer to learn at the NHL level.
Why, pray tell would Chicago trade him for a complete waste of cap space like Maccelli who has zero value?

I would give Reilly to Vancouver for nothing số Kane would be a bonus and no 2nd round pick would be necessary.

Brady Skej is no better a defenseman than Carlo plus Skjei is a LHD which Leafs don’t need while Carlo is a RHD a position Leafs do need.
Making this trade would mean Leafs gave up their 2026 - 1st round pick, Frazer Minten and Holinka for Brady Skjei.

@Leafsgm That's the issue. He's paid extremely fair for what he produces. He's always had defensive issues, but that isn't his job.

He really has lacked a partner his entire career and Carlo is no exception now.

Here’s my take on these trades Reilly needs to go idc how many secondary assists he puts up we can’t keep moving the goal post for him he’s been here how many years and it’s always “trying to find him a partner” move him to Vancouver for kane who only has a year left at least kane plays with a set.

Leafs add skjei to replace Reilly skjei is more reliable the Reilly something leafs could use and if the leafs are hell bent on moving Carlo then I’d look at this trade. as for the Chicago trade I think the blackhawks have shown they have chose other d prospects so he may be available for a player whose under control land can help them now….

Henry…. Matthews alone gets way more than that. Chinakov is a healthy scratch on a below average team.

Ok CKps I hear ya but……. Matthews has injury issues plus he’s fallen off a cliff with point production atm so? There’s was more then Marchenko offered in the deal. So who then? Columbus was the targeted team.
