A lot of Calgary trade scenarios. I will say this again. Calgary has only 18 players signed with $2.5M in cap space left. Why do so many think they can take on Willy's cap hit? They can't trade 2 NHLers for one player while reducing cap space. imo.

If Burakovski was a right handed shot I would be all for this deal.
But Burakovsky is a left wing and Leafs currently have Bertuzzi, Domi and Knies down the left side while the departure of Nylander would leave a huge hole on right wing.
Sso I have to say no.

Even though Burakovsky is a lefty, I'd still do this as you potentially get Tavares 2C replacement in Wright and you can possibly flip Burakovsky for a RW if needed.

Jones is a UFA so no need to have him in the deal. Otherwise I would do the deal, not sure the Kraken do though unless they know they can sign Willy.

I think Seattle is a good trade partner for willy but I’d also look at a centre and I think the perfect fit may be gourde yes the cap hit kinda sucks but he would be a perfect fit for the 3c.

Yani Gourde is 31 years old and will be 32 by the end of the year.
Trading 27 year old, elite players for 31 year old past their prime players has always been a poor decision.

Marner is going nowhere. Would rather trade either Nylander, Matthews or both. Leafs need more Canadian comtent on their team and maybe, just maybe they will win a Stanley Cup. Can't win with Nylander who only plays when he wants to play or American born players like Auston Matthews.

If Joseph Woll is not ready now to be your starting goaltender, when will he ever be ready? I am not sold on bringing back Samsonov. Samsonov can't seem to stay healthy at all. The injuries Samsonov sustained were of his own doing last season. As for Murray, a buyout seems like the mote likely outcome unless Ottawa takes him back in a trade?
