Welcome to the #firedubas movement. Lol. What's incredible is that the lineups you post here actually do like a team that could be at minimal a bubble team. Once all those kids are drafted and come in on the elc's, all that cap room can be utilized in a number of effective ways, like getting a rock solid goaltender like Markstrom or Binnington, for example. Binnington is UFA same year as Andersen. I would love to see Leafs make a play for him.

I'm not Dubas biggest fan but I'm kind of on the fence about him. Having watched Burke, JFJ, etc. For so long I can't fault everything Dubas does. For the most part all I really want him to do is hire someone to negotiate contracts for him.

The Barrie trade was a bust and I think he could have gotten a lot more for a 2C on a good contract but it seemed more about Kerfoot than Barrie.

His drafting thus far hasn't been perfect but no one's ever will be. His drafting has actually been exceptionally good since he took over in my opinion.

I don't know. Goalies are so unpredictable. Not a single one of those long term high priced goalie contracts has been worth it. Price, Luongo, Lundqvist, Bobrovsky, and the granddaddy of them all, the one that started the whole thing, DiPietro. All of them turned into boat anchors. It's way too huge a risk imo. Binnington is looking like a fine goalie. But I wouldn't bet the house on him.

What I don't get is why Dubas sticks to the old school. method of running with one workhorse goalie for 65 games a year. That has repeatedly shown to be ineffective, especially when your goalie faces up to 50 shots a night.

With the Leafs being so forward thinking and progressive in all other areas of the game, and as more and more teams run with a tandem goalie system, including now Vegas, why do Leafs, in spite of all the evidence, refuse to make this simple, but extremely effective, change to the most important position on the team?

To me, Dubas treatment of the goal position has been even worse than his inability to address RHD.

You hate when people spell names wrong. How about you start writing sentences correct.

Writing Leafslife that he "doesnt know nothing about hockey" is actually complimenting him of knowing everything about hockey. The words doesn't and nothing make the sentence a positive one.

Ripping on a persons spelling of names is pretty bad when you haven't grasped grade 4 english yet.

What's with you and spelling names? Lol. I don't look at this site on my laptop so I generally get auto corrected. As do most people. Do you equate spelling a name to hockey knowledge? I honestly can't spell a lot of the Eastern Europeans names like that winger on CBJ. Doesn't mean people don't know about them.

If you want to trash people in 3rd grade English be my guest but following something up with a statistic or statement may be more productive than "but y'all dunno nothing bout nah-ting".
