With Kuzmenko and LSchenn both being UFAs after this season The Canucks in this proposal get future assets, and could like any Team resign both of them back after this season ends.

Leafs all in improve upfront and on Defense making a trade like this without having any Cap issues adding both Kuzmenko and LSchenn.

No way i am giving up that much for 2 UFA's not sure why there is so much hype on Kuzmenko, i rellay don't find him that impressive. I like Schenn but if we are looking to get a tougher D I would rather spend those assets on someone like Peeke out of Columbus. they have a lot of D depth and for the right package might part with him.

Way too much of an overpayment. For Schenn, at worst he'll cost the 2nd round pick. So for Kuzmenko, a 1st, plus Woll (who's having an outstanding year) plus is too much for him.

Save the first for a better player.

Kuzzy will be well overpaid by someone. He's a PP specialist getting PP1 minutes. In Toronto, he becomes PP2 and his numbers fall off. Pass.

At this point no WOLL hes your back for next year. THEY need a cheap option at back up and hes it. Holl its no secret is just plain awful. That paired with him being an UFA at seasons end makes him a useless piece of the puzzle in any trade not just this one. Knies they best be careful trading him.
2023 1st ronder. that would mean buds wouldnt have a pick until 72nd pick overall. all for 2 rentals. NO THX. but then again that sounds like a Dubas thing to do. Dubas that you. lol

Another Kuzmenko proposal where the Leafs give up a ton for a playoff unproven player.

Yes, Kuzmenko has good stats. Almost a point a game. 32 of his 43 points come at even strength. Doesn't take penalties. All looks good.

A little deeper. He is put in offensive situations against lesser competition as much as possible. He only plays about 13 mins a night at 5 on 5 and 16 mins total on average. He has a ridiculously high shooting% of 25.6% so far. For comparison, when Matthews scored 60, his shooting % was 17.2% and he played 20 1/ 2 mins a night. He is not physical. He is not strong defensively. He has good offensive instincts for sure, but it is a season where everything is going right for him offensively so far. He will dart in and out of the dirty areas but plays the perimeter quite a bit.

If the Leafs get him for the projected 2nd line where some people seem to think he would be great for, he will have to play more 5on5 minutes, he will be on the 2nd PP and not the 1st like in Van. He will see tougher competition and need to become better defensively to earn a regular shift in the top 6. He has no NHL playoff experience where he will have to fight through checks more and the game is much tighter and more physical. The Leafs will not be able to shelter him as they got him for a top 6 role and opponents will play better players to try and shut down the Leafs top 6.

He is not the guy I would prefer the Leafs go after and point a game or not, he isn't worth more than a 1st at best.

@RLF. I agree with everything you said. people are wanting him for 2nd line. but that is not where he is having a career year. we can do way better than him.
