Cap Wise is basically a wash with this proposal, yes once Jarnkrok, DeWar and Hakanpaa are ready to be activated there will be more moves, but for the now it truly gives Toronto 4 solid Lines imo.

Toronto retains 50% of Kampf's remaining contract.

This is not just a Cap Trade but also a hockey trade for both Teams, with Doughty out getting both Liljegren and Timmons will help right away from the backend, Hildeby is close and The Kings don't have that young depth in Goaltender and Hildeby might just be the best player in this proposal.

It's really a lot to give up for The Leafs, but with a Cap issue this fixes it and getting Clarke with such a high sealing it's worth the cost.

SJ with a ton of Cap has to take Kampf in this proposal for Leaf Cap reasons, but Ferraro paired with McCabe gives Toronto a solid second pairing.

Thoughts ?

Ferraro is a good target but that is a substantial payment for a #4 LHD.
If Ferraro was a RHD it would work well for the Leafs.
But another LHD would give them: Reilly, McCabe, Ferraro, OEL and Benoit on the Left side and only Tanev and Timmins on the right side (depending on Hakanppa’s knee) .

I think Anaheim says no. Those players (coming in) do not match their timeline for contention. McTavish could be their future captain aswell.

Can’t see Anaheim trading two, young centers in McTavish and Carlsson who will be their future #1 and #2 centers for Tavares who is nearing retirement and Kampf who is an overpaid 4th line center.
Yes Marner brings them back talent but will not have a #1 center to play with.

Any player in my proposal that have a NTM/NTC would have to waive to complete this transaction.

Flames truly in a both retool and rebuild will be looking towards the future, Kadri at 33 years old is a trade asset 3.5 million is a lot to retain but to move Kadri at full salary would be next to impossible, getting NRobertson and Minton is a great move in depth of young players, Kampf and Jarnkrok gives them 2 players to fill in the roster as they add to there prospect pool.

Kadri makes his way back home where it all started giving The Leafs 3 solid Centers for the upcoming season, I believe Kadri will be exactly what Treliving will be looking before the season gets going as Kadri and Tavares are close in talent wise, this proposal would help huge upfront after losing Bertuzzi to Chicago in Free Agency.

I don't think Calgary wants to retain 3.5M for 6 years, nor does Toronto want to have Kadri signed until he turns 39.

Not a huge fan of letting Minten go before we see what he’s about but having said that it really is a do or die season and I love Kadri have five guys to fill 2-3c position if injuries occur is huge and 3.5 til you’re 39 isn’t far off Tanev or what JT might get so I’d say do it if you replace Minten with another prospect and draft pick.

Anaheim full of very good young players but missing that one piece of an elite player like Marner to take them to that next level is why Anaheim would do this.

Changes were promised by Treliving and with really Marner both having the most value and giving them more Cap flexibility this would be a huge step, Adding McTavish, RStrome and The 3rd Overall Pick helps going forward also.

Why trade marner, he is a good set up man. Look at his assists 62 and 35 Goals. Mathew’s is just the opposite. There are other players that need to. Go before Marner.

I still don’t believe he waves for Anaheim. He wants to go to a team with playoff potential or with cup contention. I see Chicago for the reason of Bedard.
I see Vegas for cup contention. Rangers do intrigue me for both in terms of star power and cup contention.
Funny as it sounds Utah could be kicking tires as new owner what’s to make a statement to fans bring in star player.
