All this chatter with the next Leafs GM and White being a serious consideration, I thought about a potential splash he could pull off right away and wondered what your thoughts would be.

Do you think this would be a straight swap? Do the Leafs add or Dallas add?
As much as I like Willy, I think it's time to try something different.
I think it gives Matthews a reliable winger, who's younger, and can put up points. Nylander will also be a bit cheaper for Dallas for many years to come.
Interested in hearing some thoughts on this. Or go ahead and shred the idea haha.

We would need to right winger to come back. We already have Knies, Cowen, Maccelli, Domi, Joshua, Lorentz on the left side. Meanwhile on the right we have no natural right handed sticks on the entire current roster if you move Nylander.

I believe this is a great start to a deal. I would add Seguin from Dallas and Macelli to Dallas.

If I were Dubas, I'd target Dunn and Hoffman out of STL or Savard and Foglino out of Columbus. Those are who I believe the Leafs need to make a run. I don't know what it would take for either deal so I'd love to see what people would consider.
As for a goalie, I don't t think Dubas will get one, but Bernier would be an upgrade over Hutchinson.

I saw an article with this proposal - Bozak and Hoffman and roughly half of their remaining salaries heading to Toronto in exchange for Alexander Kerfoot, Pierre Engvall, one draft-pick and a mid-level prospect.
I'd like to see Clifford and Bortuzzo included from the Blues. Maybe the Leafs add Mikheyev to make the salaries work.

Dennis Wideman's contract is done after this season. Leafs are in a playoff hunt but don't want to skew off course. Does Wideman make sense for a "trial" with the buds? They can look for someone else in the off season if he doesn't pan out. He used to play for the London Knights.

Doesn't make sense anymore for the Leafs to go after Tavares. Contract will be too long and too much and our boys already proved themselves. I'd pass on him and focus more on D
