Morgan Rielly
To the Pittsburgh Penguins For
2027 4th Round Draft Pick
Dakota Joshua to the Ottawa Senators For
Stephan Halliday
Sign Logan Stanley 5x5M
1.) 16 Aug 2026 23:54:30
Way too much money for Stanley. He’ll be a PTO somewhere
2.) 17 Aug 2026 14:18:59
Mo fetches more than 4th rounder.
3.) 17 Aug 2026 15:51:46
Yes…. Way too much money for Stanley. If dealing with Pittsburgh for Mo, I would offer him and a 2nd round pick for either Owen Pickering or Harrison Brunicke. The way Brunicke has blossomed, though he might be tough to get Pittsburgh to bite.

Dakota Joshua
To The Ottawa Senators For
Stephen Halliday
Morgan Rielly
To The Anyone For
2027 2nd Round Draft Pick
+ 7M Cap Space (After getting below the cap) To Absorb McKenna's 3.5M in Bonuses so we don't get charged a bonus overage next year
After that buffer for McKenna's Bonuses we are down to 3.5M that we can add at the Trade Deadline or take on a bad contract for a high pick
Roster Looks Good To Me
McKenna Matthews Knies
Cowan Tavares Nyalnder
Paul Sissons Roslovic
Lorentz Blueger Duhaime
OEL Raddysh
McCabe Tanev
Andrea Stetcher
Bobrovsky Stolarz/AA
1.) 29 Jul 2026 18:17:30
At this point I believe if anyone offered a 2nd for Mo Chayka would have taken it already.
2.) 29 Jul 2026 20:36:20
Couldn’t be more wrong LeafsLife.
3.) 30 Jul 2026 01:15:22
That's a solid, thoughtful and insightful comment. But, do you are to elaborate as to why?
I know it's asking a lot as you already went into a lot of detail, but I'm just curious.
4.) 30 Jul 2026 01:37:57
@Champ
When it comes to trades…
What’s Morgan Rielly’s value? (Stop knocking people until you answer this simple question).
What’s Matthew Knies’s value? (If he gets traded).
I personally feel you over value both, especially when it come to maximizing Knies return and respecting Rielly’s tenure.
Rielly, the class act he is, doesn’t want to leave, doesn’t have to leave and still gives the Leafs a list of 4x teams. In my opinion, Chayka and @Champ over played there hand.
Zero respect for what he’s done for the team both on and off the ice.
Me personally, at this point, how do the Leafs save face?
Also @Champ, I believe the Leafs will trade Knies, just a gut feeling. What kind of return are you expecting? What teams would you target? Are you building a cup contender today? Or tomorrow?
Simple question dude ?♂️
Again, please stop insulting people. The whole idea is to challenge each other. I just challenged you, waiting for your “full” response.
5.) 30 Jul 2026 02:17:04
@Champ
You telling me a 2nd isn’t good enough? Are you considering the cap relief? Are you considering the respect the Leafs owe Rielly? Do you even follow the Leafs?
?????
6.) 30 Jul 2026 11:50:06
Second is ok for Rielly. Cap relief is the main goal there. I’m not trading Knies as you’d be looking for someone just like him as soon as you do. And given the way salaries are going, he’s a bargain.
7.) 30 Jul 2026 12:15:03
Ya, that contract is looking better by the day.
Crazy the money be’n tossed around.
I’m for and against trading him. I see both sides of the argument.
Trying to keep an open mind.
8.) 31 Jul 2026 16:34:18
Chayka has already tried to get a second-round pick and a prospect for Rielly, but there hasn't been much interest. Anyone who's around the rinks every day and has some connections with scouts has probably heard the same thing.
A Rielly-for-Ryan Lindgren trade would make the most sense.
I think the current team is better and more exciting than before. Now they just need to find another team for Rielly.
McKenna has put on some weight, and he's handled the pressure in Toronto really well. He's a smart kid and has looked very impressive. His puck-handling skills are so natural that I think he'll surprise a lot of fans with his talent and hockey IQ. Of course, many people already know how good he is, but from what I've seen, he's been outstanding.
9.) 01 Aug 2026 01:50:37
Where have you been watching him?
10.) 01 Aug 2026 22:41:49
I won't ever become an NHL scout. When I was younger, I worked in Russia as a scout's assistant for a Russian NHL scout, mainly as an interpreter, so I got to know the scouting world and made a lot of connections.
Because of a mistake I made in the past (a criminal conviction), I wouldn't be allowed to work in that kind of role anymore, not even as an assistant.
I still have scouting data from about 30 years ago, so I've got plenty of experience.
These days, I write player reports and scouting opinions just for my own enjoyment.
So, if you're really Suffer67 and you're part of the staff, you've probably seen me hundreds of times.
Next time (first Leafs game), wear a yellow beanie and turn the logo to the side. If I spot you, I'll come over and say hello. We can have a calm chat.
11.) 01 Aug 2026 23:46:52
I can fathom a world in which I will ever wear a Yellow Beanie! I didn't ask your history. I merely asked where you saw McKenna working out to assess the things that you did, regarding weight and that he looked impressive?
12.) 01 Aug 2026 23:51:24
Can't fathom, I mean. We call them Toques in Canada and yellow is kind of not my colour.
13.) 01 Aug 2026 23:59:25
To be honest. The more I have re-read your post and you saying you can't work in that area of hockey and saying you have criminal convictions and you are asking me to wear something if I am at a game that you can identify me, I find it quite disturbing. Might be an overreaction, but seems very, very odd.
14.) 02 Aug 2026 21:23:52
What do you mean where? Sufferingsince1967. At the development camp and with Macklin in Vancouver. And Chicago too.You don't seem to visit the rinks too often. Is there a big difference in how much live hockey we've watched? You can calculate that I've been hitting the rinks weekly for about 29 years, and I've watched over 100 nhl games live per season, plus about 7,000–8,000 NCAA games live, and well over 5, 000 WHL and OHL games. Meanwhile, some "s67" has been watching games from their couch at home, pretending to be a hockey expert. I know every single Russian nhl scout, we Russians all know each other. I'm not going to argue with suffer67. Let's just agree that you are the hockey guru and nobody else is. Does it make you feel better if you get to be the hockey wizard? There you go, have at it.
You write good analysis from time to time, but sometimes it's obvious you're just a basic fan watching games from your couch. Am I wrong? Have you, for example, actually been to 1,000 live NHL games?
Remember everybody Suffer67 is a nhl guru. Ask him he know everything. I'm so happy now because i finally found the real hockey guru.
If there's something about hockey that I don't know, I'll ask you ok?
15.) 03 Aug 2026 00:10:22
Have you exaggerated how many games you have been to?
I might just be an average guy but.... I am an average guy who is good at Math and your numbers just don't add up.
So say we split the difference between your 7,000 and 8,000 NCAA games. That is 7,500 then if we add 500 to your Junior games (You did say well over 5,000) so that is another 5,500 then add your 1,000 NHL games you have said you have been to. Then that adds up to 14,000 Games in 29 years you have seen live. So in 8 months of hockey over 29 years you would have seen 60 games live a month. 2 a day. How is that possible?
You must be independently wealthy and have a time transportation machine to be able to attend all these games let alone the meals and the hotels, and able to cross the border at will with a criminal record.

Sign Logan Stanley 2x2.2M
Morgan Rielly
To The Anaheim Ducks for
2027 2nd Round Draft Selection
Maxime Masse
Dakota Joshua
To The Ottawa Senators for
Stephan Halliday (Send down to Minors)
Dakota Mermis
To Any Team For
7th Round Draft Pick
McKenna - Matthews - Roslovic
Knies - Matthews - Nylander
Paul - Sissons - Cowan
Lorentz - Blueger - Duhaime
OEL - Raddysh
McCabe - Tanev
Stabley - Stetcher
Andrae - Myers
Bobrovsky - Stolarz
1.) 02 Jul 2026 17:27:35
Mermis doesn’t count against the cap, so buried in the minors is not bothering anyone. Joshua getting a prospect or a mid rd pick is totally fine. Rielly will get u more than Maxim Masse. I would say at least the 2nd and Colangelo, or a dman in return like Helleson or Mintyukov.
FYI, you r not signing Stanley at that contract. He’ll cost you $3m on a 4-5yr term. With Rielly gone, that is very good value. If u get him, he’s only 28yrs old.
01 Jul 2026 23:53:30
To ANA: D - Morgan Rielly
To TOR: D - Stian Solberg, 4th Round Draft Pick
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
To TOR: D - Zach Werenski
To CBJ: F - Max Domi, F - Easton Cowan, D - Stian Solberg, 2027 1st Round Draft Selection (COL), 2028 4th Round Draft Selection (PIT)
Hopefully, with Werenski down to practically two teams, the Blue Jackets will lower their asking price.
1.) 01 Jul 2026 23:10:34
Werenski isn’t going anywhere. Came out and said him and his family want to stay in CBJ. So that ship has sailed.
2.) 01 Jul 2026 23:16:29
Trade Rielly now and use cap to grab Stanley as your 3rd on left side or Ferraro. But Stanley will come cheaper and better suited in the 3rd pairing role.
3.) 01 Jul 2026 23:30:52
@Champishere2627 Really? Who was that article written by?
So then are you thinking:
McCabe - Raddysh
OEL - Tanev
(Stanley?) - Stetcher
Andrae
4.) 01 Jul 2026 23:37:25
@Leafs-FOrever.... It was on the Blue Jackets Social Media Site.
5.) 02 Jul 2026 00:28:44
It’s all over the sports apps as well. Wake up from your forever sleep. Joint statement with the GM.
6.) 02 Jul 2026 00:32:25
McCabe Raddysh
Oel Tanev
Stanley/Ferraro Stetcher
Andrae
Danford Villeneuve
Lots of depth at camp to see where u are at. Stetcher in 3rd pairing minutes is really good. Stanley is a beast defensively.
7.) 02 Jul 2026 11:33:18
@Leafs_forever So... the Leafs move Reilly to Anaheim for Solberg and a 4th! I’m a happy guy. This guy will be a problem, and exactly what’s needed. Plus he’ll be on an ELC, plus then we’re cap compliant and... We have money to sign maybe Logan Stanley? Then we have a backend that can give teams headaches.
01 Jul 2026 18:56:44
Who agrees that Chayka got Roslovic and Sissons because he is expanding Domi to be included in a package for Werenski?
1.) 01 Jul 2026 17:58:46
No chance.
2.) 01 Jul 2026 18:09:44
Bobrovsky! 3x years 7m. So add Hildeby to the package for Werenski.
3.) 01 Jul 2026 18:32:59
Still no chance.
4.) 01 Jul 2026 18:47:04
We are just a dumb organization. It’s embarrassing.
5.) 01 Jul 2026 19:22:41
Sissons, Roslovic, Blueger, and now Duhaime. Sounds like guys like Lorentz, Joshua expendable will be traded for late rd picks. Still believe a big trade is coming. Rielly will go and I’m sure either Hildeby or Stolarz will be gone as well.
6.) 01 Jul 2026 19:35:39
@Leafs_Forever. He got Roslovic and Sissons because he was swinging and missing on other deals. As far as Domi. No-one knows the status of his health so why would he be included in a Werenski deal.
7.) 01 Jul 2026 21:37:35
No, he did what he said he would do, add depth and not be money dumb. We are a more rounded team today. Is there more moves? Pretty likely, but between today and the draft we got depth at centre and defensively, which were holes in the whole organization.
8.) 01 Jul 2026 19:17:59
Domi’s career could be over. He may never play again. We aren’t getting Werenski now. He would of and should of traded Rielly already if he thought he could for sure get Werenski. Paid way to much for Bob!
Can’t wait to see Tkachuk brothers and Gudas run over and injure McKenna and Cowan because the Leafs have no players to stand up to them ffs!
9.) 02 Jul 2026 00:25:57
@ LeafsGM78 I have to disagree with your statement about adding depth and not being money dumb. He added depth in that we have a plethora of 4th line centres, no true 3rd line centre or 2nd that we were wanting. And we still have 21 of 23 of our roster filled and we are already $127,000 over our total cap space.
10.) 02 Jul 2026 04:17:57
I think we have a couple of 3rd line centres and we have some trade pieces as well so I disagree with your assessment you must be wishing for Sidney Crosby or Dylan Larkin to be our 3C.
11.) 02 Jul 2026 08:50:04
Ya we do.

Andrae
01 Jul 2026 01:27:54
I doubt Chayka would trade Andrae after just qualifying him. Even though the qualified Robertson - if he doesn't get term on his contract, he will just ask for a trade again.
I also don't like giving up Danford, as I see him as a big part of this team moving forward, so I say
Nic Robertson + Dakota Mermis + A Pick?
Does this get it done?
29 Jun 2026 20:47:06
Maybe that package for Thomas Harley? I would like to hear your trade proposal be for either Werenski or Harley Without using Knies, Cowan, Danford or AA because that's what I was trying to do!
15 Jun 2026 00:52:32
The 5th-Round Pick in the Rielly trade could also be a position player to fill the 3rd-Line Centre gap, such as Ty Dellandrea.
01 Feb 2026 18:28:15
McMann should get a first + a prospect (Thinking 1st + Vojtech Cihar from LA)
Regarding Stolarz - I would probably say a package like
Filip Ekberg
3rd Round Draft Pick
San Jose will not give away a young up-and-coming guy for 2 old guys who are on the decline. I agree we need to offload those contracts but SJ would not agree.
I feel the top 3 guys in the draft will be Stenberg, Verhoef, f and McKenna. If we are in the top 5, I would probably target Caleb Malhorta or Chase Reid.
