Posted the below moves here back in mid September prior to free agency. Obviously not 100% accurate but a few great additions coming to fruition.
Nylander to Columbus for Anderson and Peeke (RHD)
Trade Anderson + Lilgegren +2nd to Carolina for Pesce
Trade Kerfoot for 2nd round pick
Trade Johnson + Dermott for Sam Bennett and Second round pick

In other words, good call on the signings. Well done. You crystal balled those for sure. But other than Johnsson, none of the rest have been traded yet (Kerfoot and Dermott still pending) .

You should put $ signs in front of your signings so stupid people like me don’t have a hard time figuring out which is year and which is money. If you didn’t post your lineups I would never have figured it out.
It’s $ first for anyone else that might be having the same trouble. Figured I would save you all the trouble and just tell you now.

Problem with trying for Pesce is that he is their best value on D, so he holds a lot of value to Canes as his play is worth more than his contract which he has 4 more years on.
I do wonder if there is not a trade available that the main pieces would be Nylander and Hamilton. Hamilton is on an expiring contract that Leafs could sign him to an extension for less than what Piet would likely cost, but likely more than Canes would like to pay. They could front load it with bonuses and give him the 8 years he can't get in UFA. To sign Piet, Nylander likely has to go anyway. Canes keep Pesce this way but still get a scoring winger cost controlled for 4 more years for a D they probably can't afford to re-sign.

Hamilton is such a pussy. He really isn't what the leafs need. For one year as a plug he would be great to have along with a Brodie or hamonic signing but to have him long term I would prefer not.
