I am hearing some talk about Mo for Nurse. I don't mind it, both players need a change of scenery. Nurse is one year younger, tougher and about the same as Mo defensively. Maybe not quite as good offensively.
The other target I would go after is Kane in Vcr. I lived in Edmonton when Kane played for the Oilers, and he made Tkachuk and Bennett a non-factor in the playoff series.
Maybe Robertson for Kane? Not sure how the money would work, but a fair trade for both teams.

Don’t care much for either Nurse or Reilly’s game.
Evander Kane’s attitude has always turned me off to the player.
I think I would prefer to keep Robertson.

I personally love it. We aren’t winning anything until this group becomes tougher. We are way too soft to compete in playoffs still. Those two would be a huge boost for playoffs. and like Dave said, Kane made Bennett and Tkachuk a non factor because they had someone to answer the bell for those two meatballs.

I could see a Matthews to Anaheim trade because A) He’s back in the US. B) The Ducks need someone a bit older and experienced I guess like Matthews. Not in Toronto Matthews will most likely go back to being AM60 type player. We on the other hand get a very solid return as mentioned in the proposals above. Idea incoming sorry.

I agree with you LeafsLife. Three coaches were all to blame for the lack of compete in Nylander and Matthews? I am sick of making excuses for these guys. I watch less talented teams bust their asses because of pride and a willingness to work.
This team went to game 7 in the second round against the eventual SC winners. And now Berube is the worst coach in the game?
Playing the Berube way has worked for the Leafs, they have already proven that.

I agree with you one hundred percent. They have no drive, no compete level.
I will add one point, Berube style hockey does work. The dumb asses have proven that last year and this year. When they play the style that Berube wants them to play, they have success. When they decide to coast or play run and gun, they lose.
I am not sure what, if any, value Matthews, Nylander or Reilly have at this point.
I agree with you about talking to their agents and see if they are open to being moved. If not, demote AM and Willy to the fourth line.
Why do they get away with costing when other players are actually busting their asses? Reward effort with top line minutes and PP times. Punish lack of effort with 4th line minutes if they are not open to a trade.
