The Leafs are trying to address a seasoned D to replace Dermott for the playoffs. If they are unsuccessful they will bring up Sandin to replace Dermott. I agree Granlund is a 2nd liner at best, but Nash knows we are in a tight spot so they can squeeze us for a bit more.
Would you rather have a second line Granlund Tavares Nylander?

Once you figure the cap out, where is he playing? With Nylander and Tavares on LW? I honestly don't think he is that much better than Kerfoot as his game is not a very physical one either. I'd rather keep Liljegren and Amirov.

I like foligno deal but jackets might want mikheyev more than Dermott
Detroit probably pulls trigger on this deal and glendening adds 2 elements. Huge faceoff guy plus he hits a lot. Perfect target

My research into trading rumours basically involves coming onto this site and TannerLand.
Neither is what I would call a reliable source of information.
Dubas doesn’t go big this year is my guess.
He gets a couple depth pieces at low cost that can augment the current roster. In the process he loses a couple b-prospects, mid-round picks, and maybe a depth roster player or two for salary cap purposes that aren’t providing Leafs what they need for the playoff run.

No. Anderson has never been a starter. Even in Anaheim he was shaky. Campbell will take over in net starting tonight and most likely the playoff and Anderson won’t be resigned back. I’m sorry but the trade above has no impact on any team. Ride it out this year and sign a starter in the summer. Just watch.
