Projecting Werenski @ 6 million and Marner @10 +. Would give the Leafs a cap savings of 5 million, from the proposed trade. If at some point Ceci does not work out, and his contract is dealt elsewhere that would give the buds approx. 9.5 million in cap space to facilitate any upgrades if needed.

Overall this deal isn't too bad. reilly for werenski short term i don't like but long term leafs advantage. marner for dubois i think colombus gets more skill and excitement but dubois can play C or LW and isn't a bad replacement. advantage colombus short and long term but not by tonnes. Then you got sandin for abramov. I think sandin is better at his position and has more upside but abramov makes the leafs sooner. advantage leafs short term comumbus longterm. anderson makes up the differance of everything lost by the leafs.

I don’t really see how this would improve us either though. Marner is better than DuBois and rielly is better than Werenski. I think we would be better off with what we got. I like all those guys you suggest. They are the best Columbus has to offer. Though I think SduBois as 3LW May be a waste.

Even on a shorter term I believe Reilly is good enough I would rather keep him. He deserves capo and may actually be convinced to take some form of discount if need be.

Shall i suggest a alternative. Let me paint everyone a picture. walk over to unionville highschool or markham district highschool and take a seat for something special. Alternating highschools, so noone bothers while he trains, youll fine a running machine. He has so much power between each stride. This guy is such a running talent he was the ofssa 100m hurdle champion setting records left right and centre. Why is this so important. Well let me tell you. Even at that much success this guy chose to stop competive track to take hockey serious. It payed off. Not only did he get drafted by london knights he turned his dedication of hockey into 1st round glory for Colombus.

Liam Foudy. a small guy with massive legs and not only can he run but boy can this guy skate. After watching a few games last season you can see his stlye. He is the definition of a defensive forward who can still kill you offensively when the coach needs it. He won't win you any scoring titles but opposing players hate him because he just keeps going. he's going to be a silent killer for colombus so why not try to grab him instead.

I absolutely loved this read Craigger. It reminded me of a time about thirty years ago when a young man named Ben Johnson trained in my gym for a summer. This was after the scandal. I felt him to be very arrogant. The money and fame definitely went to his head. Driving a Porsche and more gold chains than Mr. T. But his legs were like tree trunks. He was squatting and leg pressing more than the power lifters he was getting the steroids from. I remember thinking if he could catch a football he would be the next Jerry Rice.

Guys like Foudy with strong legs like that are impossible to knock off the puck. That is one of Crosby’s best strengths. A power sprinter like Foudy has a massive advantage over someone like, oh, let’s say Kessel, lol. The fast twitch large muscle fibres in their muscles gives them an acceleration that just isn’t possible for normal schleps like us. It’s athletes like that who are always going to do well, no matter what sport, but especially in a game like hockey that requires strong legs. I doubt I’ve ever seen Foudy play, but I will take a look and see if there are any videos on him. Columbus loves their defensemen, so if they drafted him first round, there’s got to be something there.

Hes not a defenceman. lol. but i love your story of big ben. however, you got to take a look at big Liam. the dude runs like a deer but leaps like a frog. i think he did the ofsaa glory in 2016 and holy crap no one expected it from him because he was well. the thing that rymes with fight.

Solid dude that every coach loves having. and yes knocking guys off the the puck when they have strong legs suck big time. lol.
